SUCCESS UPDATE: I recorded my first paying job yesterday.  What a rush!  It was an internal sales video for a company out of Chicago.  They sent me the script early and how I envisioned doing it was completely different from what they wanted.  I recorded it with a phone patch and it sure was odd, recording while their creative guy was talking in my ear - but, after editing, it sounded pretty good (at least that's what he told me).  Thank you for all your help - it sure got rid of some of the butterflies.  But the best part - My career's underway!

Taking the "Creating Characters" and "Audio Books" Advanced Classes earlier this month was one of the best investments I could have made for my voiceover career. Coaching by Leah and Eric was excellent, and I thought I had my money's worth before the first break. Not only were we provided with nuts and bolts information to make recording easier, both technically and artistically, they gave everyone in the classes individual help along with related resources I doubt most of us could find on our own. The advice we received was specific and realistic; the support unbelievable. One Master Class is an excellent beginning, but it's really just the beginning. I came home jazzed and more efficient in my recording. Can't wait to do more!

Don Lafontaine, please step aside! My voice acting hero is Eric Hunt. He comes straight out of the top drawer. In God’s creation I never could understand the talent portion. If talent were peanut butter, why couldn’t it be like Skippy that spreads evenly over all the “bread” so that each part gets a reasonable amount? Instead God’s distribution of talent is more like trying to spread the old fashioned kind that tends to clump up so that one portion of the bread receives all the peanut butter. It seems like Eric Hunt has received all the talent. Throughout the class we were able to appreciate the many sides of this humble and very real young man. He is an actor, voiceover artist and excellent communicator being able to command the attention of learners (some of us not so young) for many hours. But what makes him especially impressive is his dedication to his craft. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and fully equipped to teach and pass on to others who will pursue work in the voiceover industry and benefit from his wisdom and experience. I appreciated his encouragement, commendations, gentle corrections, and suggestions. He remained engaged and interested in each one of his students. I so appreciate the volume of work that he accomplished in the three short days we spent with him. I would also like to appreciate other kind and valuable members of the VFA staff: Bob Puthoff who initially ignited excitement during the introductory class, Sherrill Stewart who was so encouraging and empathetic (What a dear!), Casey Rose who understood my financial circumstances and arranged VFA compensation that would fit my budget (What a Godsend!) and finally, Courtney whom I have not spoken to but plan to make her my best friend since I need lots and lots of help. Hats off to all VFA staff!

The VFA was the most organized and lively workshop (in any field) that I have ever attended. There wasn't a wasted minute and yet the pressure was not overwhelming nor the mood comprised by a hurried atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the honest and supportive criticism to everyone. There was no play to favorites among the group. On the one hand, everyone's performance was accepted; on the other hand everyone was enabled to improve their performance. So deft were the instructor's remarks that the participants were eager to try again and again to more satisfy a masterful reading. Finally, we had an enjoyable time. Because I stayed at a friend's house in Clifton Park, I wasn't present for much of the fraternizing and yet I feel bonded with the other participants. I greatly appreciated the experience.

I recently finished the Master Class for VFA and enjoyed it so much! Eric Hunt, our teacher and coach, made the class so exciting and fun. Thank you Eric for be such a great coach while recording my first demo! It was remarkable!!! You are awesome. I really enjoyed it. I feel I have a well-rounded knowledge now to go forward into the voiceover industry and start my own little business as a voice actor! I have learned so much so quickly! I am impressed by the workbook and the lessons, coaching and teachings VFA uses in this class. All of my questions were answered. It is a very thorough presentation and instruction. The class was well worth taking if someone wants to learn about the voiceover industry. I can hardly wait to get my home studio set up and running! What a fun way to earn money! I am looking forward to my new adventure! Thank you VFA!

The Voices For All Master Class was different than I pictured but all that I hoped it would be. Andrea was professional, entertaining and informative. She patiently coached and coaxed the best out of each of us. If I never make a dime in the voice over industry I would still consider this class a good investment. The company's and Andrea's interest in each of our success was obvious and the response remains quick, friendly and supportive. If this is your dream this class should be your next stop.

I began my voiceover adventure by taking the Intro Class from Leah. The class was wonderful and Leah was inspiring. In fact, Leah was so inspiring that I ended up enrolling in the Master Class lead by Mike "The Man of Many Voices." Mike was an excellent instructor and drew forth the hidden talents in my classmates and myself. I say, at this point, that the students in the Master Class were friendly, supportive and encouraging. The pleasant environment made learning and participating in class exercises so comfortable that I did not want the Master Class to ever end. I was one jazzed up voiceover student! I am now on the path of setting up my home studio. Who'd ever imagine that little ole me would be taking the voiceover plunge? There is so much to learn yet and many miles to travel on this road. Yes, I am scared and a bit terrified, however, I know that the staff at Voices For All has my back. What more could a voiceover artist ask for!!! Thank you.

SUCCESS UPDATE: Just as an update to my last testimonial this is the video for my first paying gig: http://vimeo.com/23053477

I attended the master class taught by Eric Hunt. The class was taught great and I learned so much. There was a lot covered and so much to take in but Eric made sure questions were answered and even brought up some from before. The one on one demo session was awesome and you really learn at that point just how much goes into it. Since then I have lined up some free jobs as well as in the process of finishing a possible paying job. If you are looking to start a great career in voice acting, Voices for All is the right place to start.

Hello All. I took Eric Hunt's Master Class about a year ago. A couple of weeks back I contacted Courtney because with my "closet", yes I said closet, set up as my studio fully equipped with soundproofing tiles, I was finally getting serious about building "my" business. Courtney was pivotal in helping me get my home studio and recordings in peak condition. It took about four test home demos (one she could tell I had the door closed, and another she could tell I had the microphone turned around the wrong way!) and voila, everything sounded great and I'm on my way. In the past week, I have reordered business cards because I got married last month and changed my name, and have joined a couple online voice over companies and have submitted a couple of auditions. I'm very excited! Thank you Courtney, Leah, Eric and everyone at VFA for the hand-holding and confidence that I'd get here!

Where to start. The Master Class was an awesome experience! I took the Master Class in Los Angeles and I cant believe how much information I learned over the course of three days. The reality of it all can be overwhelming but with the teaching from Eric our instructor, I feel confident to really start into my voiceover career. He's one of the sweetest people you can meet and you really feel comfortable and learn alot from him and the class as a whole. The class really bonded and now that it has ended, I am one paycheck from buying my new mac and setting up my studio. The best of luck to you all. The class is definitely worth it!

What can I say? The Master Class, led by Eric Hunt, was just fantastic! I left feeling well prepared for and enthusiatic about my new voice over career. Eric is an amazing teacher, who is not only knowledgeable about his craft, but has the innate ability to inspire and critique at the same time. With his guidance and encouragement, I was able to overcome my shyness about speaking in public and my self-consciousness about my voice (which is, I've been told, "memorable"). I also can't say enough about VFA! The help and support they offer is genuine and heartfelt. I feel very lucky to have chosen VFA to help me launch my new career as a voice over artist! Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Gee! What a fantastic weekend!!! The Voices For All class "conducted" by Mr. Eric Hunt were 72 informative, enlightning and inspiring hours. To think that someone feels that I have a unique voice and that there is actually work out there somewhere is just beyond my belief. Eric was the perfect instructor for our group. Since we had people of all colors, ages (71 years to approx. 25 years of age) and mental make-up, made matters all the more interesting. When an instructor is patient, humorous, competent and caring (to put up with me alone, it takes all of those variables!) allowed this class to really excel. When each of us had to actually put our "talent" on the line during the demonstration itself give our weekend the clousure that was expected. I can only express appreciation for the environment, materials and the instruction that we received during our class time. Here's hoping that each of Eric's "students" have a tremendously successful voice acting career!

I have graduated from my VFA Masters Class in March 2011. I have to say, as I am building my home studio and reading my VFA bible (workbook) on a daily basis, that I feel very confident about this new direction my life will take. The "Masters Class" is exactly what is needed to get started in proper voiceover and to set your mind at ease. From the time I took my intro class with Leah Frederick I knew it was something I wanted to pursue, but I had a lot of questions..... After spending the weekend with Eric Hunt at VFA Headquarters, I can say that my excitement and eagerness to get the ball rolling has consumed me. I cannot thank Eric enough. He's a great instructor that makes the voiceover learning experience informative, fun and interesting. We hammered through just about any situation and topic that might possibly come up! My family and friends will ask me a question and guess what, I have two or three answers that make everything perfectly clear. Thanks Eric, Andrea, Courtney and thank you to the whole wonderful, warm and welcoming VFA family.

I just wanted to say what a great time that I had at the Clifton Park Master Class. The class was informative, engaging, and what a great group of people. Eric was very good at presenting alot of information ( they don't call it boot camp for nothing). I had great time in the recording studio. I know that I made the right choice going to VFA. The demo alone was worth the tution. Thanks for getting me behind the mic.
