SUCCESS UPDATE: Completed my first invoice to a client. Small job and a first paying job. Was available and known to client via demo and website. Had expertise and background necessary for the 3-4m narration, including narrating questions with already-recorded answers. Worked with a local studio were I live; home studio in my future.

The master class gave me tools to move forward, helping me understand basics and what additional questions to ask about voice over acting. Nothing better can happen after taking a class than the feeling that says, "I like this, and I want to learn more."

I have to say that Voices For All is an incredible resource and well worth the investment. I took the Master Class with Mike Elmore as my instructor and the advice and guidance he gave me has been instrumental in finding work in the VO industry. With the tools I've been given, I have booked VO work for radio ads from Washington, to Illinois, to Georgia. I couldn't be happier with the success I've found already and cannot wait to see what the future holds. A big Thank You to everyone at Voices For All!

SUCCESS UPDATE: I just landed my first paid gig for a commemorative coin. WHAT A RUSH!!! I have done a few gigs for free, but somehow it seems to be even better when someone offers to pay you for it. I can't remember the last time I was this excited. At last I can really call myself a professional.

The class was just what i needed, and the demos... WOW!!

I first learned about Voices for All through my local town, Bend, Oregon and met Bob Putoff. He was very informative, entertaining, great with feedback, and an awesome instructor. I then was contacted by Sherrill and she assisted me in getting signed up for a Master Class. Mike Elmore entered my life and it was all over at that point. I was truly hooked. Mike is not only a very successful voiceover actor but very patient, helpful, understanding, and a fellow small dog lover (huge bonus in my world). Mike was great for me to learn under. Through Mike I became introduced to another alumni and up and coming voiceover actor, Matt Martin (now has his own success record). Matt was very helpful to me as he could relate to my struggles and was a great support person to lean on. Then in walks Leah Fredrick, ah Leah, you are my idol. When I grow up I want to be as good as you. Leah was my instructor in the Advanced Class for Audio books. Leah has too many books for me to recall and several years of experience as an audiobook voiceover, not to mention the voice of Betty from the Adventures of Betty, and on and on are her credits. Leah is a no nonsense instructor, hilarious to be around, and I am so glad to call her my mentor. René Morales has been great at helping me with getting myself motivated and not be afraid of doing this. I can only hope and dream to be able to call Voices for All my employer some day and work with up and coming new talent also. Thank you everyone for your ongoing, undying help, and never ending support.

SUCCESS UPDATE: I'm so excited.  I am in the process of getting my studio set up, etc.  In the meantime, I did get a small telephone greeting job with the Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic of Gilroy.  I did a trade, so it wasn't real money, but I enjoyed it.  The owner was pleased and impressed that I did it in one take!!!!  She is happy and so am I.  I am looking forward to getting work and getting paid!  Thank you.

I've attended the Master Class Boot Camp in Albany (in May 2012), taught by VO artist Eric Hunt. I was a little bit nervous at first because I wanted to be a voice-over artist since I was a child and I had discouraging feedback from another voice-over studio previously. I was elated with the class! Eric was a knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging teacher. I've discovered and learned the ins and outs of the VO industry, plus I liked rehearsing with my fellow classmates. There was a ton of support and positive feedback from Eric and classmates. Additionally, I was impressed with the skills and talent when my demo was being created. Again, Eric, plus the engineer, were encouraging and guided me wonderfully through the session. I felt inspired and really thrilled that I had chosen to attend the boot camp! I have my own website at teresayourchoiceforvoice.com and I will conquer the world of voice-overs. What an incredible experience on this wonderful and exciting journey. The staff at Voices For All have been simply phenomenal. I have received incredible support and encouragement from each and every one of them. The introductory class with Bob Puthoff was exactly what I needed to get me started and excited to start this new career. The one on one instruction and mentoring from Eric Hunt has really helped to bring out my talents and hone my skills. It has been hard work, fun, and a great learning experience. Courtney Thayer has been relentless in making sure that my home studio is highly professional. I really have the entire Voices For All community to thank for all the success that I know is coming my way.

I have all the best to say about the Master Class...I have wanted to get into vocal work all my life, but never knew how to do it. Thank you, VFA, for the leadership, the quality, and the fact-rich content that will let me try to make my way in this cool, and exciting profession.

SUCCESS UPDATE: I signed a contract with the Breakaway Group headquartered in Denver's Tech Center to be part of the narration team. Work will be ongoing for this national company that specializes in electronic medical record training implementation . Orientation and training tomorrow --  I'm jazzed. Thanks for the training and support! This wouldn't have happened without Voices for All. I'm still working to perfect my editing, but I'm getting better all the time. And, I'm looking forward to the upcoming Animation and Audiobooks Advanced Master Classes. 

Voices for All is the answer to questions I’ve had for years. From the initial class early this fall with Patrick to Mike Elmore’s Master Class in November plus communications with staff members in between and since, people have provided information and service beyond what I expected. I’m happy with the initial demos, and believe I’ve learned what it takes to get started. I’m grateful the holidays are over so I can concentrate on the voicing process, marketing, and home studio setup. Sherril Stewart’s advice to tell everyone you are available for voiceovers works! I’m taping a teaser for an award-winning author in a studio on January 14 and may be doing intros for an area program series. 

After having taken the introductory class for voiceovers at the local college, I knew this was something I wanted to pursue. I took the Master Class with Mike Elmore as my coach. He was an awesome instructor, giving me great instruction, advice, helpful tips and most of all confidence. Plus, he made the sessions fun! The 90 minute sessions just seemed to fly by. I'm now looking forward to my new career as a voiceover actor. Thanks Mike and Voices For All!

I had tried a voice over career several years ago and basically floundered. I attended an Intro to Voice Over session at my local communiversity, reviewed the program with the nice gentleman from VFA who contacted me, and decided that this program offered me the structure, tools and support I need. Mike Elmore, my coach, was professional, helpful and lots of fun to work with. I appreciate the resources available on the web site as well as the home studio support. I have recommended this program to a couple of my friends who have expressed an interest in the field. I'm looking forward to a new career and getting to know more of the VFA crew. 

SUCCESS UPDATE: I was so thrilled to get my first VO job through Voices.com.  It was a very easy process and a fun recording to make.  I got hired by an advertising agency in Kingston, Jamaica to record PA announcements for a big launch party for LIME.  LIME is a cable TV, broadband, telephone and wireless company that serves the British islands in the Caribbean.  Tonight, my voice will be played for guests at the big event, which will be aired on four Jamaican TV stations and on Facebook.  I got great feedback from the client: “A pleasure working with her, super professional, amazing voice, very, very efficient!”  This is great motivation to get out there and look for more work!  Thanks VFA for helping me get started!

I cannot say enough about the informative Intro class by Bob Puthoff and the comprehensive, exciting Master class by Eric Hunt. From the personal anecdotes, multimedia presentations, and group interaction/discussion to the immensely helpful VFA Manual, intensive production work in putting together the initial, commercial, and narration demos, the experience for me has been extraordinary. The professionalism and the personal touch to details the instructors and all of the support staff exude at VFA should be highly commended. They have helped me to feel more comfortable in this novel world of voice-overs and that "I, too, could be a voice-over artist." It is good to know that all of the combined knowledge, support and inspiration of Voices For All is only a phone call or mouse click away. I highly recommend anyone thinking of entering the voice-over profession to seriously consider signing up for the classes VFA offers. It would be money and time definitely well spent!
