We welcome you to read the thoughts and sentiments of some of our upper level graduates. See what they think, and read about their experiences with Voices For All from their own personal perspective. Students from all over the country choose to start and further their career in the voiceover industry with VFA, and we are proud to display some of their feelings about us here in their own words, unedited. Some students even choose to send us success updates. Please visit our Success Updates section to view them. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions or inquiries you may have.

Voices for All was an amazing experience. I had to wait 3 years to partake in the intense workshop, but it was worth the wait and I don't regret any of it. You connect with the coaches and you can see that they really want you to succeed. My coach was Andrea and she was extremely passionate and patient-- very helpful, and Courtney, involved in operations, is the extra cushion for guidance. They will always be there for you and give you the support you need.

SUCCESS UPDATE: I recorded my first paying job yesterday.  What a rush!  It was an internal sales video for a company out of Chicago.  They sent me the script early and how I envisioned doing it was completely different from what they wanted.  I recorded it with a phone patch and it sure was odd, recording while their creative guy was talking in my ear - but, after editing, it sounded pretty good (at least that's what he told me).  Thank you for all your help - it sure got rid of some of the butterflies.  But the best part - My career's underway!

Taking the "Creating Characters" and "Audio Books" Advanced Classes earlier this month was one of the best investments I could have made for my voiceover career. Coaching by Leah and Eric was excellent, and I thought I had my money's worth before the first break. Not only were we provided with nuts and bolts information to make recording easier, both technically and artistically, they gave everyone in the classes individual help along with related resources I doubt most of us could find on our own. The advice we received was specific and realistic; the support unbelievable. One Master Class is an excellent beginning, but it's really just the beginning. I came home jazzed and more efficient in my recording. Can't wait to do more!

Don Lafontaine, please step aside! My voice acting hero is Eric Hunt. He comes straight out of the top drawer. In God’s creation I never could understand the talent portion. If talent were peanut butter, why couldn’t it be like Skippy that spreads evenly over all the “bread” so that each part gets a reasonable amount? Instead God’s distribution of talent is more like trying to spread the old fashioned kind that tends to clump up so that one portion of the bread receives all the peanut butter. It seems like Eric Hunt has received all the talent. Throughout the class we were able to appreciate the many sides of this humble and very real young man. He is an actor, voiceover artist and excellent communicator being able to command the attention of learners (some of us not so young) for many hours. But what makes him especially impressive is his dedication to his craft. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and fully equipped to teach and pass on to others who will pursue work in the voiceover industry and benefit from his wisdom and experience. I appreciated his encouragement, commendations, gentle corrections, and suggestions. He remained engaged and interested in each one of his students. I so appreciate the volume of work that he accomplished in the three short days we spent with him. I would also like to appreciate other kind and valuable members of the VFA staff: Bob Puthoff who initially ignited excitement during the introductory class, Sherrill Stewart who was so encouraging and empathetic (What a dear!), Casey Rose who understood my financial circumstances and arranged VFA compensation that would fit my budget (What a Godsend!) and finally, Courtney whom I have not spoken to but plan to make her my best friend since I need lots and lots of help. Hats off to all VFA staff!

The VFA was the most organized and lively workshop (in any field) that I have ever attended. There wasn't a wasted minute and yet the pressure was not overwhelming nor the mood comprised by a hurried atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the honest and supportive criticism to everyone. There was no play to favorites among the group. On the one hand, everyone's performance was accepted; on the other hand everyone was enabled to improve their performance. So deft were the instructor's remarks that the participants were eager to try again and again to more satisfy a masterful reading. Finally, we had an enjoyable time. Because I stayed at a friend's house in Clifton Park, I wasn't present for much of the fraternizing and yet I feel bonded with the other participants. I greatly appreciated the experience.

I recently finished the Master Class for VFA and enjoyed it so much! Eric Hunt, our teacher and coach, made the class so exciting and fun. Thank you Eric for be such a great coach while recording my first demo! It was remarkable!!! You are awesome. I really enjoyed it. I feel I have a well-rounded knowledge now to go forward into the voiceover industry and start my own little business as a voice actor! I have learned so much so quickly! I am impressed by the workbook and the lessons, coaching and teachings VFA uses in this class. All of my questions were answered. It is a very thorough presentation and instruction. The class was well worth taking if someone wants to learn about the voiceover industry. I can hardly wait to get my home studio set up and running! What a fun way to earn money! I am looking forward to my new adventure! Thank you VFA!

The Voices For All Master Class was different than I pictured but all that I hoped it would be. Andrea was professional, entertaining and informative. She patiently coached and coaxed the best out of each of us. If I never make a dime in the voice over industry I would still consider this class a good investment. The company's and Andrea's interest in each of our success was obvious and the response remains quick, friendly and supportive. If this is your dream this class should be your next stop.

David L. - PA

I began my voiceover adventure by taking the Intro Class from Leah. The class was wonderful and Leah was inspiring. In fact, Leah was so inspiring that I ended up enrolling in the Master Class lead by Mike "The Man of Many Voices." Mike was an excellent instructor and drew forth the hidden talents in my classmates and myself. I say, at this point, that the students in the Master Class were friendly, supportive and encouraging. The pleasant environment made learning and participating in class exercises so comfortable that I did not want the Master Class to ever end. I was one jazzed up voiceover student! I am now on the path of setting up my home studio. Who'd ever imagine that little ole me would be taking the voiceover plunge? There is so much to learn yet and many miles to travel on this road. Yes, I am scared and a bit terrified, however, I know that the staff at Voices For All has my back. What more could a voiceover artist ask for!!! Thank you.

SUCCESS UPDATE: Just as an update to my last testimonial this is the video for my first paying gig: http://vimeo.com/23053477

I attended the master class taught by Eric Hunt. The class was taught great and I learned so much. There was a lot covered and so much to take in but Eric made sure questions were answered and even brought up some from before. The one on one demo session was awesome and you really learn at that point just how much goes into it. Since then I have lined up some free jobs as well as in the process of finishing a possible paying job. If you are looking to start a great career in voice acting, Voices for All is the right place to start.

Hello All. I took Eric Hunt's Master Class about a year ago. A couple of weeks back I contacted Courtney because with my "closet", yes I said closet, set up as my studio fully equipped with soundproofing tiles, I was finally getting serious about building "my" business. Courtney was pivotal in helping me get my home studio and recordings in peak condition. It took about four test home demos (one she could tell I had the door closed, and another she could tell I had the microphone turned around the wrong way!) and voila, everything sounded great and I'm on my way. In the past week, I have reordered business cards because I got married last month and changed my name, and have joined a couple online voice over companies and have submitted a couple of auditions. I'm very excited! Thank you Courtney, Leah, Eric and everyone at VFA for the hand-holding and confidence that I'd get here!

Janie W. - CA

Where to start. The Master Class was an awesome experience! I took the Master Class in Los Angeles and I cant believe how much information I learned over the course of three days. The reality of it all can be overwhelming but with the teaching from Eric our instructor, I feel confident to really start into my voiceover career. He's one of the sweetest people you can meet and you really feel comfortable and learn alot from him and the class as a whole. The class really bonded and now that it has ended, I am one paycheck from buying my new mac and setting up my studio. The best of luck to you all. The class is definitely worth it!

Sherrie B. - CA

What can I say? The Master Class, led by Eric Hunt, was just fantastic! I left feeling well prepared for and enthusiatic about my new voice over career. Eric is an amazing teacher, who is not only knowledgeable about his craft, but has the innate ability to inspire and critique at the same time. With his guidance and encouragement, I was able to overcome my shyness about speaking in public and my self-consciousness about my voice (which is, I've been told, "memorable"). I also can't say enough about VFA! The help and support they offer is genuine and heartfelt. I feel very lucky to have chosen VFA to help me launch my new career as a voice over artist! Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Gee! What a fantastic weekend!!! The Voices For All class "conducted" by Mr. Eric Hunt were 72 informative, enlightning and inspiring hours. To think that someone feels that I have a unique voice and that there is actually work out there somewhere is just beyond my belief. Eric was the perfect instructor for our group. Since we had people of all colors, ages (71 years to approx. 25 years of age) and mental make-up, made matters all the more interesting. When an instructor is patient, humorous, competent and caring (to put up with me alone, it takes all of those variables!) allowed this class to really excel. When each of us had to actually put our "talent" on the line during the demonstration itself give our weekend the clousure that was expected. I can only express appreciation for the environment, materials and the instruction that we received during our class time. Here's hoping that each of Eric's "students" have a tremendously successful voice acting career!

Arlen H. G. - CA

I have graduated from my VFA Masters Class in March 2011. I have to say, as I am building my home studio and reading my VFA bible (workbook) on a daily basis, that I feel very confident about this new direction my life will take. The "Masters Class" is exactly what is needed to get started in proper voiceover and to set your mind at ease. From the time I took my intro class with Leah Frederick I knew it was something I wanted to pursue, but I had a lot of questions..... After spending the weekend with Eric Hunt at VFA Headquarters, I can say that my excitement and eagerness to get the ball rolling has consumed me. I cannot thank Eric enough. He's a great instructor that makes the voiceover learning experience informative, fun and interesting. We hammered through just about any situation and topic that might possibly come up! My family and friends will ask me a question and guess what, I have two or three answers that make everything perfectly clear. Thanks Eric, Andrea, Courtney and thank you to the whole wonderful, warm and welcoming VFA family.

Rami F. - MI

Eric is an amazing instructor: extremely knowledgeable, talented, funny, and experienced! I'll always remember my MC weekend and look forward to venturing into the world of voice acting. Thanks, VFA!

Kim K. - PA

I just wanted to say what a great time that I had at the Clifton Park Master Class. The class was informative, engaging, and what a great group of people. Eric was very good at presenting alot of information ( they don't call it boot camp for nothing). I had great time in the recording studio. I know that I made the right choice going to VFA. The demo alone was worth the tution. Thanks for getting me behind the mic.

Bret O. - PA

SUCCESS UPDATE: I was invited to audition for a an online training gig through my demos on VFA and after four months of call backs and waiting...I WAS CHOSEN FOR THE JOB! Beyond thrilled, I completed the job a couple weeks ago and received feedback from the client that they were very pleased with my work. Here's the best news...an email last week alerted me to the fact that a second, much larger project is headed my way from this same client! (In the meantime, I have also landed as a member of the VO talent library for an audiobook production company AND am in discussion with a company on the East Coast looking to produce a children's program using puppets!). Courtney and Andrea we're both absolutely critical to my success in this job. Their patience, coaching and encouragement were of immeasurable importance to me. I really can't thank them enough!!

I wanted to take a moment and thank the team at Voices For All for their teaching and support! I took the intro class in June from Leah; the Masters Class in August from Eric and then set out on my VO career. With my home studio set up in Sept., I started auditioning for jobs. My first one was a listing online. That turned into a call back and then being notified of being added to a company's voice talent library for their clients. Thank you VFA team for being everything you said you would be! I couldn't have done this without you!

I recently attended the VFA Master Class in Burbank, CA and what a great experience it was! From the introductory meeting to the workshop and then in-studio to cut a demo, it was all very professional. Our instructor Eric Hunt was extremely knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic (we asked him so many questions it was crazy!). My recording session was a blast and I gained so much insight into what goes on in a studio during a vo session. Since the class I have contacted "HQ" on a few occasions and am surprised at how quickly they respond and how important customer service is to them. The VFA Master Class was an investment well worth the time and expense.

Vera J. - CA

Our VFA instructor, Eric Hunt, had us riveted all weekend and his energy level never flagged--quite a feat considering how he was fighting a cold the whole time as well. The course covered everything I could possibly want to know about the VO business and the VFA support staff has been prompt, professional, and helpful. I had my doubts before the class but I felt a lot more confident afterward. Eric was a brilliant coach and editor in the studio and I'm very happy with my demos.

SUCCESS UPDATE: I just finished a job for a media agency which really gave me what I had been hoping for from day 1. I had set myself up on 2 online voice over sites and did many auditions over the last 4 months. I had even been awarded some jobs but the clients never came through. 4 days ago I was contacted through one of those sites that a client wanted me to do a job. And it ended up being for a job that had been CLOSED. I never would have thought that on an audition where the listing had been closed that this would happen. It goes to show that we do not know what will happen when we do stuff today. And it proves that we should keep moving forward at all times. In the end the client loved my first recording and awarded me 2 additional jobs. I accomplished all 3 within the last 4 days and have already been paid. And the really best part is that for 4 hours of my time and a total finished recording time of under a half an hour I was paid at 2 weeks of my salary at my normal job. And the client hinted that this could very well lead to more jobs in the future. It was a GREAT way to finish out 2011. After the San Jose Class in Feb. I have worked very hard to get where I am today and I have VFA to thanks for that. I was given everything I needed to make this a reality. With my drive and passion and the VFA direction I am now doing something I have wanted to do for over 10 years. Thanks for EVERYTHING!!

Taking the Master's Class was incredible. It gave me everything I needed to get started. For over 5 years I was looking at ways to get into the VO business and as soon as I found out about VFA I was onboard. Eric did a great job instructing us all on what we needed and gave us the necessary tools for us to get started. The support I have received from the beginning and especially now has been nothing short of unbelievable. Courtney, Eric and Andrea have been there for me every step of the way in getting started. 3 weeks after finishing the course I have come a long way. I have my studio, company name, and a first job. I could not have done any of this without the support of VFA. It has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. I am very excited for what the future has in store.

SUCCESS UPDATE: 2011 has been a great year! I have had good success with my Voice Over business. The first job I got, was from the sound engineer who was recording my demo's! That was such a wonderful feeling to get my first job before leaving the recording studio. i then did a number of radio spots for my community, advertising it's Downtown Celebration. From there, I did some local radio spots for a school. I have also had success with the Voice Over audition websites and Craiglist. I regularly "voice" some audio learning courses for a client in Arizona. I have been a 'voice" in a short film. My biggest job to date has been the voice of the GDC online game awards show, this past Fall. I have also voiced videos for the internet market and business presentations.

I am hoping 2012 wil be even more successful.

Thank you VFA for making this possible!!!

Thank you Mike and all at Voices For All. The master class was very informative. All the information I need to start my own business as well as coaching for voice overs, was provided. The demos and 1 on 1 instruction was amazing! Thank you so much!! Voices For All do stand by their policy of life time support - I have already called with many questions! I am so glad to have participated!

Kate R. - IL

What an experience! Leah ran an interesting basic course and has been an amazing support and inspiration. Eric ran the master class, and kept it light and fun. Thank you too, to the team back "in the office" the positive attitude shines through.

Amanda M. - CA

I can definitely concur with my fellow alum of the Chicago 2011 Master Class that have already posted their testmonals that - WOW - this was an exceptional experience!! I wish I hadn't waited so long after taking the Intro class to do this! The info provided was clear, precise and industry current. And the only thing I can say about our instructor/coach Mike Elmore is.... you are simply one of the best!! Your experience, patience and encouragement was priceless!!! With all the info & experience that VFA provides, I'm ready to hit the pavement running knowing that I have the back up and support needed to be successful in the Voice Over industry. Thanks VFA for all that you do!!!

Bill C. - MO

When I decided to enter the voice-over business, I did a great deal of online research into the industry. There I found a variety of pros and cons...the “cons” were basically saying not to spend money on any of the large companies teaching voice-overs as a business. I am here to tell you I decided to “invest” in professional training from Voices For All and don’t regret a single nickel of my investment. The training personnel are professional, knowledgeable, and want to see each and every individual succeed. The seminar covered literally everything (from techniques to recording equipment) I needed to know to get my start in the business. More importantly, in my view, has been the exceptional ongoing support VFA has provided since the training seminar. VFA provides all attendees a resource section on their website that is second to none, not to mention the personalized one-on-one support I have received. If your at all serious about entering the voice-over business, I strongly recommend you check out Voices For All as a starting point.

Don T. - CO

The January 2011 Master Class in Chicago was a fulfilling experience. From the beginning, even a week before class met, we were welcomed and given an optional preliminary assignment. This gave me the feeling I was a member of the group even before meeting Mike and my classmates. The class was very well organized and we kept very well on schedule as far as covering the topics necessary. In addition to the invaluable voice practice and coaching, I found the photographs of home studios very helpful. It really can be done without remodeling ones home or apartment! Thanks for the insight.
