Would-a, could-a, should-a. So many dreams, so many if-onlys. Saying yes meant a step with risk, but I felt that here might be that one opportunity to realize a dream. Our weekend together, a group of strangers made comfortable by Eric--his sense of humor, his stories, his encouragement--was filled with fun and insights. Even the studio time, which I had faced with trepidation (it really isnt anything like going to the dentist), turned out to be a joyful experience under Erics able direction. As a graduate, I now have access to the information which will answer my questions concerning business development, contacts, technology. And I have the friendly and experienced staff of VFA for ongoing support. The dream lives on...Cher S. - CA
SUCCESS UPDATE: This job paid for my Voices.com membership!
VFA definitely has put me on track! I am an equity actress who really came into theatre without any training, learning as I go along. When I decided to pursue voice overs, I really wanted a company that would take all of the guesswork out of it for me, and the fact that they provide lifelong support is huge. Before I decided on their Master Class, I went over their information with a friend of mine who is a voice talent on the West Coast. She confirmed that the information VFA had given me was solid, and said I should go for it. And I am so glad I did! Of course, you can and should spend more time developing yourself as an artist and growing your business. But I really don't think you can beat the combination of information and support that you get from VFA. Another thing that impressed me was that every single person in my group had at least one read where you thought, "wow, that person sounds really good." So no, not everyone is invited to participate. They truly do screen for potential to succeed. I started sending out demos and auditions less than two months ago. I just booked my first job last week. Today I got my first radio commercial, and I will also be working on an ongoing basis with a local company that produces educational podcasts. Couldn't be happier!

What an incredible experience! Thank you so much for all of the knowledge-sharing you packed into a short amount of time. I left feeling I could conquer the voice acting world :-) Of course, I also left with a realistic view of what I need to do to get started and keep moving forward. Eric was a fantastic instructor. I highly recommend the Masters Class for anyone venturing into this field. Thanks again!Renee L. - AZ
Are you tired of doing the same thing day in and day out? I am, but I finally decided to try something new with the encouragement of people around me, and now the VFA family, I have that option. Skeptical, that was me. Now after completing the master class I can assure you the price is minimal for what you walk away with. For me confidence was the huge obstacle which I was quickly able to overcome with the help of classmates and VFA, especially Andrea Langworthy. Andrea is amazing!!! After the first day of class I was amazed how friendly everyone was in my class. After the second day I realized it was Andrea. Somehow she is able to bring out so many things in so many different kinds of people. The few days of instruction went by so quick, but I really felt like I was at home. The learning atmosphere is incredible, not what I expected. You will cover everything you need to know to further your possible career in voiceovers. Don't worry, if you can't remember everything you are provided with a VFA workbook which has more information than you will probably need. Now that I am back at home I still feel surrounded by support and will begin assembling my home studio. If I need anything, I know I can count on VFA to be there for me. Thank you so much Andrea, and thank you VFA staff.Russ F. - NJ
Hello All! I just attended VFA's Master Class in San Jose (23-26 July, 2010) and it was so much more than I ever expected. Eric Hunt was our illustrious leader and he is really quite somethingl! He is incredibly upbeat and animated. Eric works with you and directs you until he gets the best out of you. You will surprise yourself!! As with any new endeavor, there's that little inner voice that likes to think it knows best (and it's typically talking from a place of fear). Well I'm hear to tell you that after this weekend and yesterday's recording session, that voice has been shut up! I'm excited to continue on this journey. I really believe this is opening up a whole new career for me! It is also reassuring to know that now that I've taken this class, I've become part of the VFA family. That really speaks to the integrity of this company. Thanks so much Eric and VFA!!!Janie H. - CA
After just graduating high school, I wasnt so sure if I'd be able to get into the voice acting business. It's been my dream, since I was eight-years-old, to manifest myself as a character on the television screen. A character, that like many of my childhood heroes, would inspire children or even adolescents to create, explore, and discover an aspect of themselves they may not have noticed was there. After just the Master Class with Voices For All, I learned even more about myself, what I was capable of, and how wonderful people can be in the industry. I feel enlightened, educated, and ready to explore this industry. It will be an adventure, but with the help of the VFA family and my classmates, anything is possible! I recommend this class for anyone, anywhere! Its truly an engaging, enthralling, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Once you're in the VFA headquarters, you'll feel like you're on top of the world! With a kind, well-rounded, and passionate instructor to guide you through your first baby steps into the voice acting world, you'll gain the confidence needed to succeed not just in voice acting but everyday life! Thank you VFA for making my dreams reachable!Stephanie R. - PA
SUCCESS UPDATE: Just wanted to drop a line and let you know that within a few days of publishing my website, I received a job doing the voicemail greeting and prompts for a company out of Tennessee. I spoke to them in length over the past few days and they mentioned that they heard my demos on a talent marketplace and they then contacted me directly through my site instead of submitted an audition request. This shows me that even though you may have your demos on a talent marketplace, having your own site is definitely a plus. Many potential customers don't want to pay commissions and have to weed through 50 or more voices for something such as a voicemail greeting. So, having my own, easy to navigate website, has already paid off for me. And my fee has already paid for 6 months of hosting. I would strongly suggest anyone thinking of getting their own site, to do it. Thanks again VFA! I have once again, turned your teachings into profit.
I would like to thank everyone at VFA for provided me with the necessary tools to advance my career in the wonderful would of Voice Over. My initial contact with VFA was through Mike Elmore at one of our local colleges. The class was entertaining and informative. A heck of deal for 40 bucks! It peeked my interest enough that I decided to pursue a full time career in VO. Over time, Dustin would occasionally call to touch base and ask if there was anything he or the VFA crew could do for me. He helped me get signed up at the last minute for the Masters Class in Chicago. That's where the real FUN began. From the first moment of the class, Eric had everyone's complete attention. His humor, knowledge and ability to grasp a captive audience was impressive. The class was set up in a way to include participation from everyone and provide a comprehensive study course that even the most uninformed could understand. I had many questions going into the weekend and was prepared to ask them all. Most were answered inside the first hour. The VFA Workbook alone is worth the cost of the course. The resources available to the alumni of VFA is astonishing. I would still be combing forums and message boards looking for answers if not for the Workbook and the Masters class. My demo session was a blast. Eric was patient and gave fantastic direction in an attempt to bring out the best in me. The ongoing support from the VFA crew is fantastic. If I have any questions or concerns, I am quickly provided a solution in short order. Thank you Mike, Eric, Dustin, Andrea, and everyone at VFA! Because of the wealth of knowledge you provided, I have built my website (basslinevoiceovers.com), got my marketing plan together and have already been receiving auditions in Chicago. All this in less than month since finishing the class! Keep up the good work everyone!Paul F. - IL
My weekend with Voices For All was completely amazing! My total and enthusiastic kudos go to Mike Elmore, who was friendly, professional and consistently helpful throughout the weekend. His level of knowledge about the voice over industry, and his energetic willingness to share this knowledge with us made for a very valuable and intense experience. This expertise culminated in the studio session, where I was quite impressed by the teamwork between Mike and Chris of Falcon studios. I was also really surprised to hear how much better my voice sounded in the studio than just speaking “live!” And I fully intend to be extremely surprised when I hear my finished demos.
I know I’m not alone in having an initial hesitation to enroll in the class due to the cost. I pondered it for some time, but finally decided every specialized field requires training, and training costs money. This is an investment in my dreams, and my dreams deserve the attention of my time and resources. I’m very glad that I have chosen Voices For All as a training and support partner. The future is wide open, and after the Master Class I feel like I’ve been shown a pathway that can lead to success. Now I need to get my marketing shoes on and get walking! I’m in the Professional Image Shoe Store at this very moment….Phyllis C. - OR
Where do I begin? From the moment I took my intro to voiceover class with Patrick, I knew I had to become a voiceover artist. The intro class gave me a brief overview of what the industry was like, which only made me hungry for more! Most big decisions in my life take me quite a while to make – but deciding to take the masters class was the easiest decision I have ever made. I am so glad I took the class because I know the time and effort put into it will pay off financially, but more importantly I will have a career that is fulfilling and a lot of fun! Mike Elmore was my instructor and an excellent one at that! The class was extremely informative but Mike also made it a lot of fun. By Sunday evening, I knew that I had all the tools I needed to be successful in the voiceover industry. I can’t wait to see where this career takes me. Thanks so much VFA, see you on the other side of the microphone!Chelsea B. - CO
SUCESS UPDATE: While trying to work through some equipment set up failures I had to pass up on submitting an audition, because I couldn't make the deadline. That was really disappointing for me, because I felt my voice type was perfect for that particular job. Drats! Feeling as if I would never get my VO business off the ground I received a phone call the very next day. I was asked to record an intro for a mega church in the area called Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Every Saturday, they do a broadcast on KDYA Radio (1190-AM) and recently increased from providing three services each Sunday to five services (in order to accommodate their growing congregation of five thousand). The :30 second spot was to highlight the additional services and introduce the weekly broadcast. Needless to say, I was thrilled to get this opportunity for an ongoing message on local radio. Last year (before my VFA grad training) I recorded a :15 sec. radio spot at that church to promote an event. The church media ministry staff remembered me and called me for this new job. A true blessing and a testament of a satisfied previous client!
Listen up! Aspiring voices: Do yourself a favor and don't hesitate to join the VFA training classes. Your investment will be well spent and you will never regret it. The staff is genuine and the instructors are on-top-of-their game! Shortly after I took the master’s class with Eric Hunt, I landed a job doing the intro for an on-going Christian radio program. What a blessing!

I felt the class was a huge success. I learned more then I expected to about home studios and employment opportunities for voice actors. The dome session was fast, enjoyable, and very relaxed. I will reccomend this class to anybody who asks about voice acting.Jack J. - MO
I recently completed the Voices For All workshop in Albany, New York conducted by Andrea Langworthy. I came away feeling very impressed with every aspect of the experience, and happy to know that my money had been well spent. Clearly, a great deal of thought and planning over the years has contributed to the smooth execution of this weekend course. Although I did not think it possible, I left with the knowledge that I had been given all of the tools and support that I could possibly need to enter this field. Now it is up to me to market myself and continue my education. However, I know that I can always turn to the VFA team at any point if I feel confused or stuck along the way.Katie M. - MD
SUCCESS UPDATE: Have had one paying job, but also did some pro bono work yesterday for a local state representative who is up for election next week. He is a friend, so was glad to do it for him.Linda H. - IL
SUCCESS UPDATE: I've had a wonderful year motivated by my experiences at Voices for All. I have a weekly program reading selected excerpts from Worcester Magazine for Audio Journal, a radio station for the blind or visually handicapped. By doing this volunteer work, I branched out to their Speaking Volumes program which airs each
month and is a book discussion group. In addition, along with some others we have revived Audio Journal's Radio Active Theatre which records radio dramas for airing each month complete with sound effects and music. We have a group of 25 mostly amateur actors who are having a great time recording in our
studio, often playing more than one role. I have a background in teaching and directing but after retiring I probably wouldn't be doing any of this if I had not taken the class with you. Not getting paid money, but getting rewarded in many other ways.
My experience with the Voices for All Master Class was exhilarating! It was such fun to meet so many wonderful people from a variety of places with interesting stories to tell. The instructor was talented, knowledgeable, and encouraging. She was able to skillfully put us all at ease, regardless of our expanded or limited comfort zones. Her way of extracting something new and different out of us was done with patience and cajoling by way of great examples and demonstrations. The entire program was paced well with ample regard for comfort and attention span. Participation was the key... No point in a vocal training class without many opportunities for practice alone, with a partner or in a group. Overall my experience was an A+ with an A+ to Voices for All.Catherine T. - MA
VFA has been an amazing compnay to work with and I highly recommend their instructors and staff. I just finished the Master Class and WOW, what an amazing weekend filled with fun and laughter, but detailed instruction as well. I feel completely prepared to start up my new business, set up my home studio, market my voice and start working. Kudos to Leah and Eric for making me feel incredibly comfortable and able to really push myself to go "over the top," take a chance and enjoy myself. To become a voiceover artist/actor you need to make the commitment mentally and financially, but it is worth it and I cannot express this enough. Thank you to VFA for opening up a whole new exciting world of opportunity for me. Success, here I come!Jennifer R. - CA
