Voice actors who build their skills in character creation open additional doors to a wide range of opportunities in the voiceover industry, from animation and video games to toys, commercials, and even Internet radio-dramas. This six-week class teaches the skills needed to grow as a Character Voiceover Actor. In this course we:
- Explore the “voices in your head” in search of foundations on which to build original characters
- Learn how to create strong, well-developed characters with real depth in 6, one-hour sessions
- Gain the skills to maintain unique and consistent characters across a wide expanse of emotions.
- Improve your ability to interpret scripts and make creative choices that will increase your “cast-ability”
- Gain an understanding of the various areas within the voiceover industry that provide opportunities for character actors and how to market yourself in those areas
- Creative Support is included after class
We provide you with the ability to dissect the elements of highly effective character demos, as well as teach you how to produce your own effective character demo--to get you noticed in the industry!
This class is taught by a voice actor who encourages and pushes students to discover their own unique voices and develop them into well-crafted characters.
The tuition for the Creating Characters Advanced Class is $799 for non-members.
