This class focuses on reducing accents for voice actors who have a foreign accent or regional dialect to open them up to a wider range of potential jobs. Accents can be a good thing in certain markets but to be considered for voice overs outside of those markets, a more neutral sound is warranted. We are now providing our students that may require it, with accent reduction, the needed instruction to help them broaden their scope and possibilities across the board of voice over genres. The first session will be used to assess the depth of the reduction that will be needed and approximate how any sessions it is likely to take. This process is time intensive and requires practice and diligence on the students part but will open you up to many more possibilities.
